7 and 23 decided to investigate political action groups in the area, attempt to gain status at the local university as a club to receive funding for meetings, supplies and activities(requires 4 students as charter members and constitution by moday 10-3 @5pm), make a database of other groups and fill it in with information about what other local groups are doing to get an idea of the political terrain in the area. meeting next friday at 5pm. we want a list of groups to which we can later add information about their direction and effect on the political landscape.
The meetings were decided to be of this format:
1) address agendas (volunteers may halp with agendas they agree with, but only object by not volunteering in other words no bickering-OFFER ASSISTANCE OR KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT)
2)conclude on actions to be taken by next meeting (who is doing what and what is expected- now is the time to excuse yourself from particular action if you don't want to do it, but if you want to change someone elses action too bad take it up outside the meeting)
3)decide when and where to meet next week(this is really tentative, subject to change through out the week)
The big idea here is this is an act at will group, if you take action you will be seen as a participant and your opinion will be respected as having some worth, if you argue at meetings and don't ever do anything you won't be invited to meetings.
in this meeting we
1) Addressed: investigating local groups, creating a database, get 15 and 74 in on action to investigat groups and anything they want to take action on. University club status was discussed, as well as meeting format.
2)Action by next week: make list of local political groups' names. Find action for 15 and 74. Submit for club status. Prementioned meeting organization implimentation next friday 5pm.
